Mugaritz, San Sebastian!

Mugaritz – the 7th best restaurant in the world with 2 Michelin stars is simply a gastronomic experience. Here chef Andoni Luis Aduriz is in charge over a powerhouse foodwise. Mugaritz.has been top 10 the last 11 years i got told, at the kitchen when we had a short visit inbetween eating.

A meal here takes place over 25 courses – several of them, if the weather is good, is served in the gorgeously appointed gardens around the restaurant. Basque cuisine often combines elements of the mountains and the sea, and so it is at Mugaritz where the menu might roam from oyster and young garlic omelette and pig tails and squid,  via a crunchy “sandwich” of local cheese presented in a book, to a loin of lamb smoked over eucalyptus and served with “its cultivated wool”. The last seven Deadly sins is also a treat.

To get here you either drive your own car or take a taxi, as the restaurant is about 35 minutes away from San Sebastian. In order to get a table its advicable to book well Ahead, atleast 3 months.
